How Does Wi-Fi work?

Wi-Fi is a wireless technology that is built-in to most new laptops and PDA’s by way of a wireless adapter. Wi-Fi enabled computers send and receive data indoors and out; anywhere within the range of an access point. And it's fast. In fact, it's possible to be several times faster than the fastest cable modem or DSL connection.
