What is a Transparent LAN?

A Transparent LAN, or TLS is a high-speed, LAN interconnection service that hides the complexity of WAN management. With a TLS, corporate LANs are accessed in such a way that they appear to be interconnected. Employees who are geographically separated can communicate with one another and access remote servers as easily as if all employees and servers were located in the same building.
